Oven cleaning is one of the most hated chores in the home and is a task that you just simply want to forget about. Zanussi ZYB594X is affordable pyrolytic oven. This ‘A’ energy rated multifunction oven has Clear ‘n’ Clean enamel interior for pyrolytic cleaning and quickly incinerates all grease, burnt fat and other unpleasantries at very high temperatures, leaving just a pile of ash that can be brushed away leaving the oven clean and gleaming. With 53 litre capacity, interior light, sleek stainless steel exterior and user friendly push button digital controls, the 60cm pyrolytic oven features Zanussi Thermaflow fan operated cooking and has 9 functions, including thermal grilling, pizza cooking, booster for heat in a hurry, conventional cooking, single circuit variable grill, dual circuit variable grill, top heat, bottom heat and defrost.
Comments
Good points: Good selection of functions, including pyrolytic cleaning, for the price. Coped well with baking fairy cakes and vol au vents and produced an acceptable roast chicken. Shows the temperature the oven is building up to what you have set and beeps when set temperature is reached.
Drawbacks: Tricky to fit whole roast dinner in the oven at once, however, and potatoes were a bit soggy. Crumble was pale after the recommended cooking time. Grilling times were slow. Small viewing window makes it hard to check what’s happening inside.
